Beginner to Archery
If you have always wanted to try target archery or have tried it at school or elsewhere and want to learn more about becoming a successful archer, then you would be suited to the Rogue Archery beginner program, provided by Aspire’s official training provider Rogue Archery.
All archers who are starting out need to go through some form of guided introduction to the sport to get an understanding of a sound shot process, scoring, rules and regulations when shooting and safety protocols when on and around the range. Some programs also offer exposure to competition formats
Completing a beginners program demonstrates basic competencies in archery fundamentals that can then be taken further.
Aspire Archery recommends enrolling in a Rogue Archery Beginner Archery Program – Beginner Programs | Rogue Archery.
If you have completed a beginner’s course in the last 6 months, you may apply for membership to Aspire Archery.
Once you have joined the club, we recommend considering joining the Rogue Archery Rookie league to build your skills for competition. While this is not mandatory for joining a club, it is a highly regarded and worthwhile next step in supporting sound development in you as an archer.

If you are a member of an existing club and shoot regularly and recently, you can sign up as a member with Aspire Archery.
We are able to offer primary membership and we also offer an associate membership to allow you maintain your existing club membership. In this instance, you will need to nominate a primary club with Archery Australia.
If you are coming back to Archery after a break or are wanting to lift your skill level, we recommend contacting Aspire Archery to discuss your situation. Each archers circumstances are different and we want to ensure we provide you with the best advice possible to get you shooting.
It is important to note that the club does require a level of competency to be demonstrated prior to accepting membership. This is an assurance requirement and there are no exceptions. We would be happy to discuss your situation.
